ONS STREEF OM IN ELKE KIND SE BEHOEFTES TE VOORSIEN

 

Die taalonderrig is gebaseer op 'n verskeidenheid temas wat weer die onderrig van konsepte en vaardighede met betrekking tot holistiese voorskoolse ontwikkeling insluit.

 

Benewens 'n "informele" leerbenadering in die baie vroeë stadiums, sluit die program musiek, drama, sang, poësie, kuns, handwerk en gekanaliseerde "leer deur spel"-mediums in.

 

Bevordering tot die hoofstroom van 'n skoolstelsel is afhanklik van 'n kind se taalvermoë, akademiese prestasie, ouderdom en volwassenheid. Dit is moontlik vir 'n kind om meer as een jaar in hierdie klas deur te bring om 'n aanvaarbare vlak van "skoolgereedheid" te bereik, mits die kind se chronologiese ouderdom nie die grense vir toegang tot die hoofstroom oorskry nie.

WE STRIVE TO ACCOMODATE THE NEEDS OF EVERY CHILD

 

The language teaching is based on a variety of themes which in turn incorporate the teaching of concepts and skills pertaining to holistic pre-school development.

 

In addition to an “informal” learning approach in the very early stages, the programme includes music, drama, singing, poetry, art, craft and channelled “learning through play” mediums.

 

Promotion into the main stream of a schooling system is dependent upon a child’s language ability, academic achievement, age and maturity.  It is possible for a child to spend more than one year in this class to attain an acceptable level of “school-readiness”, provided the child’s chronological age does not exceed the limits for entrance into the main stream.
